Eliminating Hand Contact at the Point of Use

The dual-outlet configuration serves two distinct needs. The bubbler delivers a direct drinking stream for quick hydration. The gooseneck faucet fills bottles, beakers, or cleaning containers — a function absent from single-spout fountains. In laboratories, this eliminates the need for a separate sink when rinsing glassware. In food plants, workers can fill sample bottles without removing gloves or sanitizing their hands afterward.

How the Foot Pedal Mechanism Works

The pedal assembly is a mechanical linkage connected to a commercial-grade valve rated for 1 million cycles. It operates entirely without electricity, eliminating sensor failure, battery replacement, or wiring faults. The valve is a self-closing spring-return design: foot pressure compresses the spring and opens the water path; spring tension closes it when pressure is released. There is no solenoid, no circuit board, and no calibration required.

The pedal height is 100 mm above floor level, accessible from a standing position or wheelchair footrest. The pedal surface is 200 × 80 mm of ribbed stainless steel with a non-slip texture. It is hinged on a stainless steel pin with nylon bushings, requiring no lubrication. The entire mechanism is serviceable through a front access panel without disconnecting water supplies.

Dual-Outlet Design for Operational Flexibility

The left outlet is a laminar-flow bubbler positioned at 950 mm height — suitable for adult standing users and compliant with ADA forward-reach requirements. The right outlet is a gooseneck faucet with a 150 mm reach and 200 mm clearance below the spout, large enough for 1-liter bottles and standard laboratory beakers.

Both outlets share a single supply line but are controlled by separate pedal valves. A facility can specify either:

• One bubbler + one gooseneck (standard)

• Two gooseneck faucets (for bottle-filling stations)

• Two bubblers (for high-density worker canteens)

The gooseneck faucet includes a 20 mm male thread for attaching hose connectors or spray heads if needed for equipment rinsing.

Cabinet and Ventilation Engineering

The square cabinet body is fabricated from 1.5 mm 304 stainless steel with a brushed finish. The vertical ventilation slots on the side panels allow air circulation for the optional cooling module and prevent condensation buildup inside the cabinet. In ambient-only installations, the slots still serve to equalize temperature and prevent musty odor accumulation.

The cabinet base includes four adjustable leveling feet and a floor-mounting flange with four anchor holes. Total weight is 45 kg when filled with water, providing sufficient mass to resist tipping during pedal operation. The front access panel is secured by two quarter-turn cam locks and opens 120 degrees for full component access.
